Identifying place value of a digit
With this maths resource, children will identify the value of digits in a five-digit number. This is a slighty harder worksheet for year 4 pupils that can be used for extra practice either in the classroom or at home.
What is place value?
Place value is the value represented by a digit in a number. For example the place value of 8 in 23,810 is 8 hundreds or 800.
In Year 4, pupils should:
Recognise the place value of each digit in a four-digit number (thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones).
